On Saturday, October 11th at 12noon, join fellow alumni to watch Stanford (2-3) against SMU (2-2)! Stanford is coming off a rivalry win against San Jose State. SMU is coming off a loss against their rival TCU. Stanford is 1-1 against SMU. SMU won the match-up last year, 40-10.
On Saturday, October 18th at 10:30pm, watch Stanford's (2-3) Homecoming game against #8 Florida State (3-1) in their first ever meeting!
The rest of the season is as follows:
- 10/25 at #3 Miami
- 11/1 Pittsburgh
- 11/8 at North Carolina
- 11/22 Big Game vs Cal
- 11/29 #21 Notre Dame
- 12/6 ACC Championship Game 8pm

Cardinal Camaraderie With the Class of 2025

Regardless of your class year or how long you've been here, this is a great opportunity to see who else from your Stanford fam calls DC home.

WDCSA Book Club Corner
Washington DC Book Club Discussion

Meeting at a private home in Alexandria, Va.
The November book is James: A Novel, by Percival Everett; Doubleday, 2024. Available in hardbound, paperback, audiobook, and Kindle editions.
When Jim the slave overhears that he is about to be sold to a man in New Orleans, and consequently to be separated from his wife and daughter forever, he runs away until he can formulate a plan. The penalty for a runaway slave is unthinkable, but when Huck fakes his own death to escape his violent father and decides to follow him, Jim realizes he is very likely also a suspect for murder. As readers of Huckleberry Finn know, thus begins the dangerous journey by raft down the Mississippi River toward the elusive and unreliable promise of the Free States and beyond. This alternative telling of the well-known story portrays Jim not as an assistant to Huck, but as a man with agency, intelligence, and compassion.

Baltimore Book Club Discussion

We are reading two books: The Measure by Nikki Erlick, who spun a tale of a world where people can choose to know the length of their lifespan, and Death with Interruptions by Nobel laureate Jose Saramago, who spun a tale of a world where people live forever. Each book is a study of a myriad of human behaviors under the supernatural circumstance that each society finds itself in.
Our January 19th book is Autocrats vs. Democrats: China, Russia, America, and the New Global Disorder by Michael McFaul selected by Helene Myers.
