Stanford Book Club Meeting

The book group will meet on Sunday, July 6, at 6:00 PM to discuss "Sastun:My apprenticeship with a Maya Healer" by Rosita Arvigo. The August book is "The Autobiography of Benjamin Franklin". Happy Hour usually runs from 4-7pm, but we will have the room in back with specials just for our group from 5:30-8:30pm. Legg Mason Tennis Classic

WDCSA has 6 premium box seats in Aisle 36, Section 3 to all sessions; our seats are in the same location as in recent years – at the end of the court and very close to the court. (These seats are $500/seat at the box office for the tournament). These seats provide access to the Courtside Club restaurant. We have two parking passes available for each session at $10/pass. The Sunday of the first weekend will include main draw matches as well as qualifying matches.

As with recent years, we expect there to be a women’s pro tournament in addition to the men’s bracket. Save the Date: Whitewater Rafting
Friday, Sept 5 – Sunday, Sept 7 (note change of date from that previously announced)

Looking for an adventure to end the summer? Join a staunch band of fellow WDCSA alums as we visit and experience one of the nation’s iconic whitewater rivers for a trip on the Class IV-V "Upper" Gauley. (www.narr.com/upper_gauley_river.html#wgu). The trip will include one full day of rafting on the world class Gauley River, two nights lodging in cabin tents, and all meals on Saturday and breakfast on Sunday. WDCSA was able to get a great rate of $185/person, plus tax, a discount of $30/person. The group will caravan on Friday to Hico, West Virginia and then caravan back to DC on Sunday.
