serving a sumptuous array of appetizers in a private room overlooking Dupont

WDCSA Volunteers Needed to Revitalize Parks Center

Washington Parks & People, the capital area’s network of community park
partnerships, needs help renovating the Josephine Butler Parks Center, an
18,000 sq ft, 40-room Renaissance-revival style mansion overlooking Meridian
Hill Park. Washington Parks & People operates the Parks Center as a "greenhouse"
for advancing Washington’s parks and public spaces. Join other volunteers
from the Washington DC Stanford Alumni club to help with weatherizing, moving,
demolition, painting, and other tasks at the Parks Center. Afterwards, we’ll
enjoy coffee and pastries at the nearby Love Cafe.

Calling All Volleyball Players!
January through April
Its time for volleyball season again! The Washington DC Stanford Alumni Association
is looking for volleyball players of all experience levels to participate
in the Capital Alumni Network (CAN) Volleyball league. The CAN volleyball
league holds weekly games at DC area middle and high schools in January, culminating
in a playoff tournament in April.
There are three options for the volleyball team: 1) Monday recreational team,
2) Wednesday recreational team, 3) Wednesday competitive team
Please let Brinda Thomas (brindat@stanforalumni.org) know of your interest
and availability for each of the options for the volleyball team(s) by December
21st. All teams are co-ed and an equal number of men and women must participate
on the court at all times during a game. She will send out more details about
rules and game schedule to interested players.
