WDCSA Board: Volunteers Needed
Looking for a way to reconnect with Stanford? Come OnBOARD – Volunteer with
the WDCSA Board of Directors!
The WDCSA Board of Directors is preparing to kick-off another great year
of events and activities serving the area’s alumni community. Whether you
live in the heart of the city or an hour away, it’s easy to get involved.
The Board is currently scouting for enthusiastic volunteers near and far for
the following:
** Serve as a Member of the WDCSA Board of Directors
– Share your specific interests, talents or event ideas by taking a leadership
role among other alumni volunteers. Organize an event or help grow WDCSA outreach
to the alumni community! Young alums can also volunteer with the Cardinal
Young Alumni (C-YA) Steering Committee. Our next WDCSA Board Meeting will
take place on Tuesday, August 30 at 7 PM at 2661 Connecticut Ave, NW.

Legg Mason Tennis Classic
July 30-August 7, 2005
The WDCSA has 6 box seats in Aisle 36, Section 3 to all sessions at 16th
& Kennedy, NW; our seats are in the same location as last year – at the
end of the court and close to the court. Our prices average 18% less than
single box seats and there is no service charge. We will allocate our two
onsite parking passes per session by lottery. This year the tournament includes
a women’s bracket for the first time. We have the following tickets remaining:
Tuesday, August 2, 4 pm $35 (2 left)
Thur, August 4, 4 pm $43 (2 left)
Friday, August 5, 12 pm $47 (quarterfinals) (2 left)

Sunday – Join fellow alumni and current students in cheering for the Washington
Nationals as they take on the San Diego Padres at RFK Stadium on August 7!
A ticket and breakfast costs $12 per person; please email Kelly McKenzie (’03)

We’ll meet at the Stanford in Washington House before the game from 11:00
a.m. until noon for a continental breakfast and ticket distribution. Arrive
early so that we can distribute tickets and make it to the game on time. All
current students, alumni, family and friends are welcome!

’96-’05) pay $15; tickets for children ages 6-12 are $10; and

The WDCSA has arranged for discounted group tickets in the Stanford Section
for the Stanford at Navy football game. The game will start at 6pm and tickets
are $19.00 instead of $25.00 (plus processing & mailing) at www.navysports.com.

our site using “stanfordalum” for the Sign In ID and “beatnavy”

Ride to the game with other Cardinal maniacs! A charter bus has been contracted
to shuttle alums from one of the Washington Metro stops in Maryland to Annapolis
and back. The cost is $20 per person. Space is very limited, so register early!
The bus will leave at approximately 2:30pm from the metro stop and will leave
Annapolis 45 minutes after the game. Exact pick up location will be emailed

Parking is free at Metro stops on weekends. In Annapolis, the parking lots
near the stadium are $10, whereas one can park further away for free and take
