Current congressional staffers and Stanford alums will share their experiences
of working in the House and Senate. This will be a great opportunity for young
alumni and current students to be informed of policy-making and get more information
about how to establish a career path on Capitol Hill. Light refreshments may
be served, but please bring your lunch and your questions to Room 2168 of
the Rayburn HOB.

The Rayburn House Office Building is at the corner of S. Capitol Street and

Washington Nationals Tickets
RFK Stadium

Our 4 season tickets are in Section 314, Row 15, Seats 15-18, behind home
plate. Our prices range from $17-$27/ticket, offering a discount ranging from
3-8 dollars from box-office single-game ticket prices (and we have no service
charges). Current ticket availability for the entire season is shown at www.stanfordclubs.org/dc/baseball.asp
We have two new offerings: For any game, we will offer "rush" tickets
at $5 below the $17-$27 prices if we have any tickets remaining 24 hours before
game time check the website above for availability. For the Monday, July 3rd
7:05PM game against the Florida Marlins, we have additional seats in other
sections available at 50% off the single ticket price ($23 seats at $11.50
and $16 seats at $8). To request seats for any game, please call 703-486-0952

WDCSA Volunteer Event

Interested in combating hunger and creating employment opportunities? Please
join us on Saturday, June 10 at DC Central Kitchen, where you will work alongside
people in their culinary job training program to assist with easy kitchen
tasks. Volunteers should arrive at 8:45am and be able to work until noon.
There are only 13 spots available for this event please respond if you are

Young Alumni Event – "Battle of the Wines: California
vs. France"

Do California wines crush all their vinous competition, or does France put
the ooh-la-la in oenology? Judge for yourself at this head-to-head tasting
of old-world vs. new-world wine, where you’ll sip through six super selections
that illustrate just how different (and delicious!) French and California
wines can be. A wine educator will explain flavor profiles and winemaking
processes, while sharing some fun wine tips on this sip trip from the West
Coast to the Côte d’Azur. Join us at Best Cellars Clarendon for this
private tasting event created especially for DC-area Stanford young alumni.
The event price of $15 includes tasting of 6 wines, a set of tasting notes
to take with you, a gourmet gift bag, and discounts on bottles of wine purchased
at the event.

& Kennedy, NW; our seats are in the same location as last year – at the
end of the court and close to the court. We will allocate our two onsite parking
passes per session by lottery.

Young Alumni Event Whitewater Tubing in Harpers Ferry
Save the Date: Saturday, August 12 10:15am-6:00pm

Beat the heat and relax on the river with your fellow young alums! We’ll
head one hour to Harpers Ferry, WV to enjoy River Riders’ unguided Whitewater
Tubing trip, giving you the freedom to go wherever your tube takes you. This
trip passes by the historic town of Harper’s Ferry, and has class I-III whitewater
excitement on the Potomac River.

This event is limited to young alumni (Class of ’96-’06), current students
(Class of ’07-’10), and guests. Pricing and payment details will be included
